From download
to a first finished task.
Five steps, about as many minutes. Nothing here needs a credit card: Basic is free, and the model runs on a key you already have or on a local model.
Install the desktop app.
Download the installer from the download page: a signed installer for Windows 10 and 11 on x64, or a disk image for macOS on Apple silicon or Intel. The download page detects your platform and points at the matching build.
After installation, EvoForge checks for stable updates from inside the app and shows the version before it installs anything.
Sign in.
EvoForge asks you to sign in on first launch, the way most desktop apps with an account do. Signing in is free and gives you Basic. Sessions, files, memory and keys are never uploaded; they stay on your computer.
Connect the model you trust.
Open the model settings and add a provider: Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, Qwen, Kimi, OpenRouter, or a compatible local model service such as Ollama. Keys are stored on your machine and used only for the services you configure; a validation probe sends the smallest request that proves a key works.
You can switch models at any time. Memory, skills and history belong to EvoForge, not to the model, so they carry over to whichever model you use next.
Give it something real.
Start with a task that ends in something you can check. A few that show the range:
- "Fix the failing test in this repository and explain the cause." — open a folder first.
- "Read these three PDFs and write a one-page comparison as a Word document."
- "Go through this checkout flow in the browser and report every step that breaks."
- "Turn this voice memo into a tidy meeting summary with action items."
You see the plan, each tool call and the result as it works. Actions with external effects — publishing, sending, deleting — wait for your approval unless you have said otherwise. See how control stays yours.
Unlock a module when the work calls for it.
If you want the director's console, robot simulation or game tooling, open your account inside the app and add Creator, Embodied AI or Game Development. The module is available after the licence refreshes — there is no reinstall, and modules combine freely. Prices are on the editions page.
